Seams & Joints

Joints are inevitable in some cases due to the large pieces required and limited size of quartz or granite slabs. However, where seams are located is very important; when researching your countertop company, it is important to ask about their specific practices of seaming and jointing.

Seams and joints need to be placed in locations where there is sufficient cabinet support; therefore, we do not place them within the narrow spans along the sink cut out. This location has insufficient cabinet support and is a high traffic location. We also look at where they can be placed to decrease how noticeable they are.

We recommend that while you are researching different companies, that you request to see examples of their seams.  Many companies have different seaming practices, so it is important to see an example of how your seam will look.
